I noticed that in the beginning eppys, Burk Devlin keeps referring to a gentleman namd Blair.   could this be the Nicholas Blair that comes in after Burk dies?

If I remember correctly, the Blair that is in the early episodes is a lawyer for Burke Devlin.  Devlin had him dig up financial info on the Collins Enterprises and on Liz.

John Baragrey played Burke's Blair and was about a decade older than HAA.  The character's first name was James and I believe he was a banker.

Nicholas, on the other hand, did tell Tony Peterson that he worked for a powerful law firm.  It was probably just to gain his trust, but I find it amusing nonetheless that they introduced a devil's minion and almost immediately had him claiming to be a an attorney.  [ghost_wink]

I'm glad you have brought that up. I have been trying to remember if Nicholas introduced himself as
Cassandra's brother to the Collins family by saying he is a lawyer from Boston.

I don't remember Nicholas introducing himself that way, and I think it unlikely that he did.  It seems to me that Nicholas didn't tell flat-out lies very often.  Usually he managed to talk his way around the truth.

As Midnite already mentioned, Nicholas used the story (probably just a cover story) of being an attorney so that he could talk to Tony in his apartment in Ep #523. He unsuccessfully attempted the same trick on a nurse to try to get into Tom Jennings' hospital room in Ep #563. But I don't honestly recall him ever telling anyone at Collinwood that that was his profession.
