I, A Woman originally came out in 1965 but the ratings system didn't exist until November of 1968. Certain movies, like Valley of the Dolls, were given the tag line "suggested for mature audiences". Which was left open to interpretation. I remember my mom's friend took her 7 and 9 year old to the drive in to see Rosemary's Baby, which was a bit beyond their comprehension. The lady got me in trouble with my parents because I had the book. Thanks, lady. MYOB!
I, A Woman was considered to be a pretty racy movie for the time and no theater in my area showed that kind of stuff. Although I was admittedly a pretty precocious kid, at age 11, I was probably more interested in seeing Mary Poppins or The Monkey's Uncle.
