Jonathan Frid in Arsenic and Old Lace

After you look at that photo, look at the upper left hand corner and click on NEXT to see the other photo of Jonathan Frid as Jonathan Brewster.  This is from co-star James McArthur's private collection.
Doesn't McArthur look like President Clinton?

Can you tell me when this play was in production?

Also, how is it you have lots of inside info about Mr. Frid???? (Inquiring minds want to know :D ).

Arsenic and Old Lace was on Broadway in 1986.   Jonathan was hired to takeover the role of Jonathan Brewster from Abe Vigoda for the national tour 1987-1988.  JF played the role on Broadway for two weeks before the tour launched.   It was one of the most successful tours ever breaking box office records.  The started off with Gary Sandy, Larry Storch, JF, Jean Stapleton and Marion Ross.   James McArthur took over the role of Mortimer Brewster in Baltimore, Maryland which was the third leg (I think) of the national tour).
