I haven't been posting the Fast Overnight ratings this season because for the first few weeks
Scandal's viewership had been a bit higher than
Elementary's, but I'd been reading that once the DVR Live+7 numbers were factored in
Elementary was outdrawing
Scandal by a sizable amount. However, I was having trouble tracking down the actual figures because few Web sites actually post the full ratings numbers - plus it takes a few weeks before they're even factored in. But today I came across an article on a Web site that I visit regularly, and it lays out the ratings story for
Elementary nice and neatly:
"Elementary"
Overnights: 1.9 in 18-49, 9.17 million viewers
Live +7: 3.3 in 18-49 (+74%), 13.9 million viewers (+52%)
The skinny: The second-year drama is CBS' second-biggest DVR show in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, behind "The Big Bang Theory."So, as we can,
Elementary is still doing just as well as it was last season. And with the gains the show has in the Live +7 numbers, each week it keeps pulling farther and farther away from
Scandal to cement itself as the top show at 10 on Thursday.
