It does make you wonder what kind of parents Flora and Justin actually were. Melanie is relatively normal when she's not possessed by Amanda but the three sons are something else entirely. Quentin served time in prison for manslaughter and Gabriel and Morgan are equally (but differently neurotic). Of course, a true Collins would have blamed any and all misbehavior on the curse.  [ghost_cool] [ghost_cool] [ghost_cool]

(Parenting rarely comes across well on DS. One might think, given their own upbringings, when Collins children grow up and have their own children, they would want to bring them up differently from the ways in which they were brought up - but apparently not.  [ghost_sad]  But then, the show would be awfully dull if they did, so there's that.  [ghost_wink])

Maybe Vicki should consider herself lucky that she didn't grow up with her parents.

I wonder if  Vicki would ever have felt that way.

([pointing-up]  I suppose it all depends who it was that she found out were her parents. If, say, Jason McGuire turned out to be her father, I strongly suspect she'd have been more than happy not to have had him in her life!!  [ghost_wink])

I only heard about this second hand but apparently there was a skit done at a Dracula festival in the late 1990's which put forth the idea that Vicki's mother was indeed Elizabeth and that her father was Count Dracula. Can't you just picture Joan Bennett arching her famous eyebrows to new heights at that idea? And, unlike the skits done at the festivals, this was meant to  be taken seriously.

The Dracula Festival sounds like it might have been a hoot and a half. At least from a distance. Lara Parker and KLS attended and were on a panel with a couple of the Hammer actresses. It was either Ingrid Pitt or Yutte Stensgaard who told them that I'm sure that it was a lovely little show that you were on but I never heard of it.
Then there was an interpretive dance by someone who called herself Lady Vlad. She took herself extremely seriously and apparently made Adriana Pena look like Margot Fonteyn. The routine that she performed was a rehash of the Underdog routine that was a staple of costume contests at conventions for several years. I think she also appeared on The Howard Stern TV show.
Also, the convention promoters offered free admission to the Dracula Festival, as well as free airfare and hotel for presenting a skit. It sounded too good to be true, so I passed. While they did provide free admission, reimbursement of travel expenses never came through. I don't know if they did another Dracula event after that. I would hope not.

I bet they loved that - especially KLS! I can just picture the look on her face!!

I don't know who the moderator was but I think it's safe to assume that it was definitely not Jim Pierson!

Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I remember him as a dealer at one of the early festivals in Newark. He was selling photos that apparently had been copied from the Viewmaster reels. [ghost_rolleyes] [ghost_azn] [ghost_rolleyes]
