Quentincollins, here is the reply i received this morning from MPI, "the return to collinwood CD is planned for a late summer release this year. thank you for your inquiry, MPI home video"

Hello Quentincollins, i checked out a couple of sites for this CD. no luck. I emailed MPI with your question, so i'll let you know what they say, sorry to hear about the unfriendly operator, I mostly send them emails and I always get very pleasant  replys from them. -robert  http://mpihomevideo.com/cat.asp?cat=17&subcat=82    http://www.darkshadowsonline.com/return_page.html

Started watching DS during the 1795 storyline,  a local station was showing DS at 11 p.m. back in 1976-77. i picked it up a few episodes before Angelique placed the vampire curse on Barnabas, i remember this because the tv station messed up and ran this episode two nights in a row.

Hello Criseyde, what a wonderful David Selby site you have, i bookmarked it and will spend some more time looking when i can. thanks for the info on the two movie's. both blockbusters and westcoast video rent  "White Squall" w/ jeff bridges, so i will pick that one up today, they do say that they have for sale only,  "The headless body in a topless bar. has anyone seen the 1979 movie "Night Rider" w/ David Selby & Kim Cattrail?  i seen it listed on his movie credits,  but theres no info. -robert

Hi Anne,  I haven't had the pleasure of meeting David Selby yet, so i too am looking forward to this year's festival..looks like two other DS stars will be there that i have not met.  John Karlen & Nancy Barrett. does Jonathan Frid go to the festivals anymore? I didn't see his name on the list. -robert

That  would be pretty neat, if they held a mini-festival here in New England, number one spot would be no other place but Salem.  maybe Trask (Jerry Lacy), could host a special DS trolly ride around the different locations with the DS theme music playing......

Thanks for sharing the pictures, sounds like it was a fun party, i wonder who Jeff Thompson was talking about when he said  "One actress looked especially gorgeous"...was it maybe Angelique or KLS???  I had to work late that friday night, so early the next morning a friend and I drove from Boston to the Vista, we got there around 7 am, 3 long hours before they opened the festival doors. yes you are right about Marie Wallace, when she came in I  remember how she was relating to some of the other fans waiting in line, I did not know who Roger Davis was at the time, and I thought he was another fan that was just trying to cut to the head of the line. then when we met Ann Wilson at the registration table, we got the RD bio sheet.  I will post a picture of myself in the Imagestation photo album,  maybe we did meet way back then...wouldn't that be strange?? ***ok I just posted two pic's. one from 1984 when i was in the service and another taken in 92. don't have any from 89.

Mysterious  Benefactor,  I did not go to the 1989 DS Red Zone party, I believe that was held the night before the festival.  i went to the festival on saturday, thats when we found out  that MPI was releasing DS on video . also remember that Roger Davis wasn't on the news flyer the festival sent me, but he showed up anyways with Marie Wallace.  they spent time talking to everybody that was in line waiting to go in.

Thats a good choice for the part of  Victoria winters,  Shiri Appleby is a good actress, liked her in "swinfan". i can see  Chrispin Glover as willie too,  he is very talented in playing different roles. from willard to george mcfly. willie is alot like those two characters put together!

Patti, it's from june-july 1968. and was a  tv guide that came with the sunday newspaper back then. inside features a photo of "collinwood" and "Jonathan Frid",  article is titled "Lurking in the shadows: the menacing barnabas collins" talks about Jonathan Frid's career and also Sy Tomashoff's design of the collinwood set  "months before the show went on the air, I  explored antiques shops, art galleries and even junk yards to find the impedimenta to create the 19th century mansion." -robert
