Thank you Midnite & MB for the video clips...it takes about two minutes on each clip to download....and i thought i needed to up-grade my "quick time/real player"  the other day when trying to view the video's, but all i needed was a little patience.

here is some of Todd McIntosh's work on BTVS. click onto each picture for full process of make-up.....

He is also a fan of DS and credits "House Of Dark Shadows" master make-up artist Dick Smith as a major inspiration.

New DS 2004 Hair Stylist Lisa Maria Alpert is also from the Buffy line-up

Interresting story Vlad, I was thinking about the "Subspecies" movies as i read this article.  they touched on these beliefs/heritage and were beautifully filmed in Romania.

I had no idea they were looking to do these films with the 1991 cast. thank you for the post  Jimbo.  I also learned that ..."Jonathan Frid seemed disenchanted with Barnabas in the wake of  "House of Dark Shadows", which he found excessively violent"

MB & Josette, My copy of NODS is actually titled "Dark Shadows 2" and is Grayson's working script. (probably the same as your's MB),  I've had this one since 1992. I did alot of script trading with other DS fans back then, and have amassed about 32 DS tv episode scripts and also the 2 DS movies scripts.

Raineypark...besides the two different 1991 Ben Cross Barnabas resin kits that were released. i would have to say the Innovation comics were the best DS merchandise from the 91 series.  the comic images were life-like and they were not afraid to show alot of blood

MB Salem is really awesome, i have been there a number of times since the early 80's.  they have really perserved the buildings wonderfully. walking along the cobblestone streets pass the houses really does take you back in time.  is this the john ward house you were looking for??   check out the bottom of the postcard  "The Old House"....i still think they should hold a Dark Shadows festival in Salem. to see Angelique (Lara Parker-the real Angelique!) and Trask there would really stir up some old stories...

Raineypark, I haven't seen the 1991 DS series since it aired back then, and i cannot remember if they dealt with Barnabas learning about "our" time. but i know that innovation comics explained that Willie suppied him with books, tv etc

the page before this one was a riot, shows Barnabas shaving and Willie bringing him a TV guide & a Playboy magazine.
