R is for
Roots
- one of the first TV mini-series, which aired in 1977. Thayer David (Prof. Stokes, Count Petofi, Ben, et. all) played Harlan in
Roots
.
I remember watching
Roots
and being very impressed by its scope, the multi-generational aspect of it, the violence, and excellent acting.
It really pointed out the plight of African Americans in a way that was never done before at that time.
Everyone talked about it!
It was a huge media event.

X is for Xanthic - Having a yellow or yellowish color. I think some of the psychedelic sequences (maybe dream sequences?) may have had a yellowish tint - which would make them xanthic. Also, some of the dresses were yellow - which would make them xanthic.
I hope this works. X is hard!

A is for Awkward - There were
many
awkward silences on DS. A good example was at the end of Episode #337 and the teaser in Episode #338 when there was an awkward silence between Barnabas and Dr. Woodard.
