Title: Joan Bennett in Hollow Triumph (1948) on TCM Fri 5/29
Post by: David on May 26, 2009, 05:07:52 PM
Check local listings for times, as TCM has different feeds for different time zones.
This one is a rarity, NEVER on any home entertainment format (as far as I know)

If TCM shows the same British print of the film that they did last year, then the on screen title will be The Scar, but Hollow Triumph is indeed the film's original & official title.
Joan, 38 years old here, was a knockout!
Hubba Hubba!

I'm only just beginning to become aware of JB's films.  My mother knew her very well as a film star, I remember.

Thanks for the head up!

I went to TurnerClassicMovies.com (http://TurnerClassicMovies.com) and it states 12:30pm est.

I set up a reminder; this will send me an e-mail 7 days before (too late, oh well) as well as 24 hours before the movie.

I had never heard of this movie before; I watched it today.

Imho, it wasn't very good. I went to imdb; Paul Henried (who I love) co-produced it.

The plot was very obvious and trite, the music  [toilet] stunk.

But....I could not believe it when....

he hit Joan Bennett

 [nono]

Worth a watch.....possibly.

Imho,

Patti
