Anybody want a real "Blue Whale" t-shirt?
« on: June 13, 2008, 08:03:18 PM »
We'll the real "Blue Whale" is a place in New Port R.I. called The Black Pearl. It's the place that the "Blue Whale" was modeled after and the outside of it was used in the show for the outside of "The Blue Whale". They have their own t-shirts and they are very well made, very thick for a t-shirt. I just got one in the mail. Their web-site is www.blackpearlnewport.com then go to their store if you want a shirt.

[ghost_grin] Only very hardcore DS fans, and of course Black Pearl fans would understand. [ghost_grin]
May you die before you want too.

Ten bucks for a hamburger?  For that price they could've at least mentioned in their website that the place was used in DS!

Well, Gerard, considering you've been there, you probably already know that nothing is cheap in Newport. And, of course, it's not about the food or even how good/bad it is - one is paying for the ambiance of being right on the water, even though inside there isn't much of a view from any of their windows because they're all so small. But then, it's really all about eating the food outside (something a lot of DS fans don't do because they want the experience of being inside the building [ghost_wink]).

I sure as heck wouldn't pay four bucks a can for their chowder. It isn't THAT good!

I wouldn't mind having a tee shirt with a picture of the Blue Whale as it appeared on DS.
I get a kick out of these guys who think they're so clean, when all the time they're trying to cover up their dirt.

I'd love to have a DS Blue Whale t-shirt, and maybe a Collinsport Inn t-shirt as well. But until then this will have to do.
