I love horror and scifi, so the fantastic and unreal are cool with me.  And I'm beyond cool with the curses, witchcraft, gods, premonitions, and even the splendid other world of the Phoenix that we get in the early half of 1897, and I appreciate that the writing made sense of each turn of the plot.  But in the later half, we get (along with the influx of new characters) wild information that leaves even the attentive fan scratching his or her head.  And it doesn't help that by this point the timeline bears little resemblance to what it was originally.  While the plot holes are fodder for speculation, they also bring mounting questions in the Watching Project that just simply have no right or wrong answer.

I'll provide MB's response when asked a question similar to Sally's on the Testing 1, 2, 3 board...

Actually, it's much more fun if you're surprised when you reach a new membergroup.  

kyreb, attendance over the past few years ranged from 1200+ (Brooklyn and Burbank) to nearly 1500 (Tarrytown-- Frid's first after a long hiatus).  The highest attendance was 3,000 in 1997 (at the NY Marriott Marquis) while DS was on the SciFi channel.

Now I get why Barnabas could not hypnotize Aristede.  The pendant gives protection from not only witches and warlocks but also "unnatural spirits," vampires included.  But apparently it does not protect the wearer from werewolves, assuming he had it on him when he was attacked.  Hmm.

Mrs. Fillmore said Lenore had a high fever and is now in a coma, similar to what happened to her twin.  That's a bit of revisionism since according to Magda in #798, Lenore's brother...

was well this afternoon, playing in the nursery, but this evening, Mrs. Fillmore heard a scream, ran to his bed and he was dead--cold, very cold in his crib--she said it was as if he had been dead a long time before.

No mention of a fever, and no coma.

The dancing girl is now officially the dancing lady.  After Quentin arrives at the mill, we can see the end of the set wall behind Aristede, and a stage hand and a camera through the opening.  Stroka seems to have hit the chair pretty hard when he went down during the fight.

The multi-colored afghan has made its way into Mrs. Fillmore's home and is under Lenore's crib, whereas it was on Tessie's deathbed in the previous ep.  The set for the room shown has been used a number of times, most recently as Worthington Hall II, and also as Seaview house:

The reenactment is lighted as a night scene unlike  in the previous episode.  It is prettier. I guess they are trying to make it more sexier for the continuation of the scene between Quentin and Charity.

Yes, and creepier, but also confusing.  If it's morning, why all the shadows?

Aristede primping in front of the mirror is too funny and then Magda catches  him.

"Did you send for me so there would be two of us to admire you?"  lol

Aristede cautioned Magda not to tell Barnabas about the connection between Aristede and Count Petofi.

Well, Barnabas knows they are working together; he was aware that Jamison/Petofi summoned Aristede to the Old House.  What he doesn't know is that Magda has had her moment of truth, and that J/P & A have ordered her to learn his new coffin location and report it back to them.

I found it curious that Quentin was threatening to kill Charity if she told anybody his secret. But then later, after he stopped her from calling the police and she threatened to tell her father, he just stood there and tried to reason with her. It's clear that his bark was worse than his bite! He didn't really mean that he would kill her, he was just backed into a corner. Fortunately for Quentin, Charity believed his threats.

Can anyone be sure if Quentin would've gone through with killing Charity or not?  We have the voiceover telling us that Quentin knew he had to keep her from telling his secret to anyone "no matter what the cost."  And he knows he's capable of murdering someone with his bare hands.

But two things have changed by the time we get to this scene-- Charity says she is going to tell on him regardless, and Quentin knows that physical threats are no longer necessary because he now has the signed confession to use as blackmail, especially after she confirms for him that Gregory really did sign it and attempted to destroy it.  Before, he told her that she would be killed if she told anyone, but now he informs her that if she tells, he'll tell too, and so her actions will lead to the deaths of 3 other people including her father.

A friend said it best, so I'm going to quote him--  "The lovely Ms Shelton continues her diverse career in 'A Perfect Getaway' playing a dim-witted but feisty hippie chick."  It was released last weekend.
