Barnabas: If Julia is trapped in 1840, then surely she will have left an elegantly written letter for me, just as I left an elegantly written letter for her when I was in 1897, but where would she conceal it?  Where?

...it must be in the antique Stilton cheese that I showed Julia when she came to dinner in my house last month.  It was made in 1840.  She must have put the letter in the cheese as it was being made, and if I eat the whole cheese, I'll find the letter.  Huzzah!
