I also hated how they just left his character off. And then they got that replacement for just one episode, which made no sense at all to me.

Maybe Craig Slocum was unavailable for that episode for some reason.  They didn't make an announcement on the cast change during the title sequence.

The most likely scenario is that Harry left Collinwood during the time Barnabas was in 1897, probably because there was nothing to do there anymore.

You're right about that. Now Magda was a good character on the show and I hated how they just left you hanging as to what happened to her.

...he seemed, IMHO, miscast playing tough guys.  I can't really imagine CS as someone who served time...Chatsworth Osborne III on "Dobie Gillis"...another sort of character I think CS would have played very well.

i never liked the Harry character but would have liked to see him play another role! also could have seen him as doing the Aristede part too!

No, I do not agree... Michael Stroka was perfect for the role of Aristede.

Actually, it was his New York accent that you heard. He was from N.Y. and lived there.

I have a large collection of teen mags, and don't recall Craig being featured at all in "16" or Tiger Beat at the time.

Now I would have written about him, only because the temptation to give in to the name Slocum giving itself to rude "typo" would have been simply overwhelming.
