Here's the website for Henesy's current business site in Panama.
-
Hi David thanks for the sharing how cool!
Love Anne [snow_kiss]
-
Thanks, David. There's a nice photo of Henesy on this page of the site: http://www.cppty.com/Revista_K_-_La_Chesa.html
-
Still somewhat recognizable--the smile and eyes are the same!
-
The years have been good to him- at 54, you can tell he definitely has Irish blood flowing in his veins! I only wish he would attend a Festival!
-
I certainly wouldn't have recognized him.
While I never found him to be a dreamboat, I have to say that in the present time he's quite attractive!
-
That's a beautiful, vibrant photo of David. Much nicer than the one run in Scarlet Street a couple of years ago.

Definitely recognizable - even with the beard. ;)
Too bad I can't read Spanish because it would probably be interesting to read the article. The section that mentions DS seems to imply DS was on TV there - though who knows how long ago? DS was certainly run in Central and South America years and years ago, but I wonder if it refers to a more recent run. It would be nice to think so...
-
The article isn't very clear on when it ran in Panama, only that David decided to quit acting at age 12--which isn't quite right.
-
Thanks for letting us Spanish-illiterates know. [wink2]
As for deciding at 12, well, maybe he did decide then but he couldn't finally follow through on the decision until some years later. We know he wasn't thrilled with acting and that it was quite often his mom who pushed him to continue. And that's actually a shame because he had such talent.
-
He is still cute. I would like to see him clean shaven! Great to see him after all these years! I really wish he would do the fests because of all the great stories but I am not holding my breath! :(
-
There's a link somewhere on the forum to a fairly recent photo of him without the beard. I'm just too tired to look for it right now...
-
Thanks MB. I will look for it sometime later as well. Tired here too! [snow_wink]
-
I like him better with the beard. But I'll spare all of you my cries and whispers over the subject of FUR.
growling,
G.

Very true. He was a naturally talented actor. Even from those very early episodes he had a great presence about him.
That's a great pic. The smile and eyes are definitely the same.

I would love if someone (HHUMM MB perhaps) had more pics of him as an older teen? Maybe like 17-20? I personal like the pic with the shaved head (GROWL back GOTHICK) and scruff! Thanks for the pic LdyAnne.
-
Unfortunately I don't have anything of Henesy from those years...
-
That is okay MB. I thought it was worth a shot as you seem to have a fabulous DS collection! :)

On that same page I have a couple of screen grabs from the Waltons when he appeared in a sceen at about age 18-20
-
I thought of that ep of The Waltons - but it was originally aired on November 15, 1973. So, in all probability, Henesy would have been 16 when it was shot...
-
OK I was doing that from memory but is one of the last things he did acting wise i believe.
-
Supposedly Henesy made a brief appearance on the soap Another World in 1976 (which would fit the time frame Taeylor is asking about), but I've never seen any photos or footage...
-
Does anyone know if the Walton's ep is availabe online?
-
It's available on DVD, so it *may* also be available on sites that offer TV eps on demand. But, of course, you have to pay to watch...
-
I watched the Walton's ep on YouTube not long ago, though now Part 1 seems to be missing. But if David H's scene is what you're interested in seeing, it's in Part 4--
The Waltons - "The Thanksgiving Story" PART4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpYm_sxNF7g&feature=related)

Thanks a bunch Midnite! :) There's the voice and he really grew up tall and thinned out. Thanks a lot!

Hey MB, your comment just reminded me of a DS ep or two that I've seen dubbed in Spanish. It always cracks me up to hear the familiar, iconic characters we know and love (or hate) communicating, often quite emotionally, in a foreign language. It would be hard to take the plot line seriously, especially when some plot lines were already hard enough to take seriously in English.
I agree with the others: David Henesy was a most compelling child actor, perhaps the best of his generation. He's lookin' cool at 54 . . . maybe there's hope for me yet! [snow_wink]

Can you imagine what the actors who dubbed DS into Spanish had to do to make Dr. Lang or any one of Roger Davis' characters more "emotional"?! It's a frightening thought!! [lghy]
And it's so nice to see you posting again, Ben. [snow_smiley]
-
True, indeed, MB! Do you suppose the dubbing actors also remained faithful to the bloopers? And to the actors who went off-script to rescue colleagues who blanked out on their lines (like, for example, Clarice Blackburn did for Mitch Ryan)?

The Waltons clip has been removed from You Tube!

Henesy was unrecognisable to me from the Panama photo. Perhaps if he combed to obscure the hairline, shaved, grew the hair out a little more, stopped smiling, and looked more a lot worried, then I'd see older David!
