1897 storyline what if.
« on: March 09, 2006, 12:31:43 AM »
What if the distraught and
suicidal
Beth Chavez, instead of leaving the
bottle of poison
where Jamison could walk in and see it plainly, had had the presence of mind to hide it somewhere before Jamison came in?  Would Jamison's rejection of Quentin* have been averted, and the events of 1969 altered? Would Barnabas' i-ching journey to 1897 have been aborted?
Would Beth have gone ahead and killed herself?
* The reason we finally learn why Quentin's ghost haunted Collinwood in 1969 and sought to take over the body of Jamison's 20th. cen. lookalike, David Collins.

Sounds like it, unless they had good stomach pumps back then.

Actually,
the entire incident of Quentins ghost would have been erased when Petofi prevented him from dying in 1897.  There was no ghost to haunt in the present time.

In an episode right after this, Barnabas even makes a comment that "David was never possessed".
