Not really! I would assume that a commercially produced product is tamper-proof, or at least done so that even the most expert person presumably couldn't "mess it up."
I'm sure Joe will explain exactly what he did when he has the chance, but if he did what I suspect he's done, no tape is that tamper-proof.
Just for the record, though, the MPI DS videos aren't copy protected. I've always thought it was odd that anyone can make as many copies of them as they so choose and the copies will be practically as good as the originals (depending on the quality of your VCR(s), of course).
