If anything, Maggie would remember that Nicholas led her on, promised to marry her and abruptly left Collinsport without the courtesy of saying goodbye. Part of Nicholas' plan may have been to reconnect with Maggie. The story really needs a scene between the two of them but we never get it. I don't think that Maggie ever refers to Nicholas again and he never mentions her.
Angelique's scenes at the old house with Barnabas and, to a lesser extent, Quentin are some of my favorite moments from the series. We seldom see Angelique so reflective and honest about her feelings and her use of devices.
Barnabas is very gentle with her, resisting the desire to say I told you so. She is genuinely saddened to see that he has become a vampire again, indirectly but not intentionally because of her. And he seems to genuinely care for her feelings and she does for him. To me, this shows that Barnabas and Angelique have evolved as characters, capable of feelings that neither one had the depth to express before. I'm sorry that we didn't get to see more scenes like this because it showed that both characters were capable of a deeper understanding of each other. I find these scene much more plausible than their similar scene in 1840.
