I was pleasantly surprised to find DS on the list:
Daytime TV's 10 Best Soap Operas of All Time, Ranked - Dark Shadows (https://tvline.com/gallery/daytime-soaps-list-greatest/#!1/dark-shadows-1966-71/)
You know how DS always gets made fun of rather than being acknowledged for the cutting edge innovations it contributed in both TV production and Gothic storytelling.

How nice!!! :)

Santa Barbara at number one? peculiar.

[pointing-up] Not really. SB was highly regarded in the industry. It won Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series in 1988, 1989, and 1990 (and during part of those years Sam Hall wrote for the show), numerous acting awards, along with multiple awards for writing and directing, as well as things like hairstyling, lighting and music direction. In fact, one of the things that keeps SB from being shown again is that it's nearly impossible to secure the music rights to the show.

I was surprised that One Life to Live did not make the list.

[pointing-up] Yes, I found that surprising too. Though at the same time I would find it nearly impossible to choose which soap should be dropped so that OLTL could take its place...

'Gawdawful movie'?
blah
It would've been very good if it mentioned how there's been fan conventions for over 30 years.
I wonder if DS would've made this list 10ish years ago, before so many soaps went bye-bye.
