Title: Episode #1068
Post by: CTP/FITBs on September 24, 2010, 11:33:58 PM
[It's up to the first poster to come up with a set up, and then each following post will either complete it or fill in the blank(s). And, as always, whoever posts the set up is certainly allowed to post their own completion/fill in as a follow up.]

Setup:

Julia: Isn't this interesting!  Adam stopped by here in the 1980s, and left a note saying...

"Barnabas disappear in 1970 just to keep me from having girlfriend."

LOL! Maybe Adam's green sweater could find true love with Julia's green suit?  [ghost_grin]

(But Adam was no longer wearing his green sweater when he left Collinsport. Stokes had upgraded him to a red plaid shirt:

And considering that Adam had been shot while wearing the green sweater, I really do strongly suspect that Stokes got rid of it rather than repair it.  [wink2]  [lghy])

..."Julia and Barnabas, if you happen to get this note in time I would like you to attend my graduation from cosmetology school this weekend. I know we've had our differences, and I've tried to kill you both, but I do consider you family."

Thank you, I sit corrected!   Though it's not an upgrade in my opinion, except for the fact that it would not have had old bits of Adam encrusted in it...

(Adam as a cosmetologist - now THAT would have been something!  [lghy])

....Tell Elliot not to worry......I was able to re-attach it after we were done....and no one was ever able to do what he did after that last night we spent together...at least we'll always have his back room to remember!

MB, I was going to say plastic surgeon, but that would be an even bigger stretch for Adam!!

While you were away, someone named Josette came looking for you. She got tired of waiting. We've been married since 1982

[pointing-up]  Barnabas would completely flip upon hearing that!!  [laughing1]  But the true irony, given that Adam was brought to life with Barnabas' life force, is that it would almost be like Barnabas finally got her!!  [nodassent]

Excellent one!! [thumbleft]

Thanks so much, MB! [ghost_smiley] Of course, such news would totally refocus Barnabas from the task at hand. People would be dying all around. (Not like they aren't anyway.) Julia would try to talk sense to him. (Like that's ever worked). And Barnabas and his ego would never believe that Josette might actually prefer someone else.

([pointing-up]  Totally true on all counts!!  [nodassent])

For a character meant to be the hero, Barnabas has extremely impaired relationship skills. Most especially with women.

With that look Adam would've fit right in with the Seattle grunge movement...

(Yeah, Barn is certainly conspicuously lacking in heroic qualities.  [ghost_rolleyes])

(I've never thought of that but you're totally right. And who knows - maybe Adam was in on the creation of the Grunge movement!  [nodassent])
