The opening scene is creepy, Ben making two coffins, one for Barn & one for Josette. When Ben realizes one casket is for Josette he's creeped out too. Ben - still the voice of the audience - the voice of reason. Thayer & Ben are great in the beginning scene. Barn threatening Ben is disgusting to me. Desperate times call for desperate measures - for both Barn & Ben.

The prophecy starts. Josette loses the ring, breaking glass, a storm starts, etc. And yet Josette starts to freak. I guess I am not made to understand exactly what is going on with Josette. Is she falling in and out of a spell? Between Angelique's spell and Barnabas' vampire thrall and everything in between - I guess any explanation is possible.

I like Ben refusing payment for helping Barnabas by making the coffins. Is this the first time we see Widows Hill in 1795? So, our dear victimized Josette dies without ever knowing it was Angelique that has been betraying her since her arrival in Collinsport? That blows, big time.

Jane gets an encore - unbelievable. Is anyone keeping a body count? Geesh.

What a drag - that brand new big beautiful house and not a moments happiness in it. I remember the proud look on Joshua's face when he first brought Trask there. Joshua has plenty of other things to talk about to avoid talking about Barnabas. But as his bad luck would have it, a wounded Josette comes downstairs at the Old House calling out Barn's name. Joshua can't catch a break.

I like the big vermilion bows atop Naomi's shoulders. (I was determined to use 'vermilion' in a sentence, after I looked it up, that is! lol.)

Oh, I forgot to bring this up. I find it totally ludicrous that the family history book would mention all the details leading up to Josette's death. The losing of the ring, etc.

Now Josette is acting more like I want her to - not all wistful & pensive - but strong and willful and practical to convince her aunt that she is okay and capable. I loved the opening scenes with Josette and Natalie in Josette's room. You have to feel for Natalie's circumstances. Trying to save someone who is knowingly resisting your attempts at rescue. The brick wall outside Josette's window seems out of place for Collinwood. I agree MT, Josette's line about the forces finding her there where she intends to let them find her is a great line.

I totally forgot that Barn is not aware of the future.

I loved the writing for Edmond's Joshua in the scene with Natalie in the Foyer. It was a kinder, gentler - dare I say - playful pompousness. He even called her "My dear Countess." Edmonds is superb throughout the episode. As a matter of fact, everyone does a great job.

How does Josette know about the secret panel? KLS looks fab in black. Frid & Scott are still batting 1000 together. And I am still loving the writing for their scenes together - it is so romantic (as a matter of fact).

Edmond's closing scene was perfect. The writing: the voiceover: the acting: BRAVO!

I liked the pre title opening scene. I like ordinary sometimes. Josette's nightwear makes me crave colorful gummy candy, like jelly beans.

It's kind of cool to hear Josette's ghost music played while watching the living Josette. Has anyone given any thought as to why the ghost of Josette protects Vicki in the future?

Suki is as well-endowed as her 'brother', and I'm not talking about her beauty mark, lol. I keep picturing Diana Millay in the Suki role. I held a nice grin at Nathan's expense when Millicent announced her wedding plans to Suki.

Stupid Barnabas for looking into the drawing room windows. Stupid Barnabas for showing up in Josette's room. Stupid Josette for saying all the right/wrong things. I wonder if Josette tastes like candy.

I'm not buying Barn's outrage against Ben, not noway not knowhow. Nor Frid's performance for that matter. I like the concept of the scene between Ben & Barn in the mausoleum. And Barn's exiting line was fantastic in context.

Yeah, AD, that is really cool having Ange's voice become Barn's - very creppy to me. (Why is Josette's bed on blocks?) Ange/Josette - the dream - I don't get it - I liked it - but I really don't get it. She knows he is dead so wtf? LOVED Josette's scream when she woke up - what a hoot!

Oh, now I get it, (I'm typing as I watch) she has to know where to follow the voice to. The whole second half of this episode is great. Ben & Josette & Ange in the woods. Barn & Josette in the mausoleum - wow - I got goose-bumps! Frid improved greatly by episode's end. KLS was marvelous too. I loved this last scene. The writing, the acting, wonderful stuff.
