Quentin's Kin
« on: April 13, 2009, 03:23:15 PM »
I was thinking about Quentin enjoying the dubious pleasures of the village, I wondered who his parents were. I couldn't find anything about this, but I know I've seen it here before. I think I have, anyway.
I get a kick out of these guys who think they're so clean, when all the time they're trying to cover up their dirt.

Quentin's parents were never named.  That generation was never mentioned on DS, except for a Caleb Sayers Collins who died in 1872 and was probably Quentin's uncle.

In 1840, they were away at school and not seen or named.

Did they mention in 1840 how many kids Gabriel and Edith had?  I keep thinking they did and that maybe it was two, a boy and a girl, but that could all just be FDSMS.

I'm pretty sure they had three children.

I'm imagining those kids coming home from boarding school after the nasty business in 1840-41, hearing about it, and saying:  "Geez, we always miss all the good stuff.  It's not fair; Tad and Carrie always get to have all the fun."
