sad coincidence (ot)
« on: August 06, 2002, 11:39:01 PM »
the little guy, timmy, from passions died yesterday on the show, and, in a terrible coincidence, the actor that played him, josh something, died in san diego during heart surgery.
its a sudden death that i know, my father wrote me to say that, my cousin, uncle jeremiah was, was very disturbed.

Isn't that sad? I went to the Passions board at Mediadomain.com and read a little bit about the story line on the show (I don't watch that show). They had apparently "killed off" the character to allow the actor some recuperation time, as he had been having heart problems for quite some time. The character has been "killed" before and then restored to life so it wasn't meant as a permanant elimination of his character, but the timing was spooky.

I watch Passions off and on whenever I think about it and am home.

So sorry to hear about the actor who played Timmy on Passions.  I was really starting to love the little guy.  :(

Although, I'm getting bored from the drawn out storylines and some of them are dumb, IMHO anyhow.

This is so sad. There was an article just this past Sunday in the NYPost about how Josh Evans could pass as Mini-Me. I've pasted the site below:

How sad to lose such a talented man at such a young age. I am not a passions fan but I am sure he will be missed by many.

I don't know who he was, nor do I watch Passions, but it's really sad that he died so young. A few of my friends died in their 20's and 30's, and then there's people like me, who have come so close to death a number of times, and are still here.  ?!?

yes it is sad. i love passions as much as dark shadows. watched it since day 1. anyway, it was not a complete suprise to me. i had a notion it was going to happen. u see, in october i attended the N.O.D.S. vista theatre celebration. a star from passions, jade harlow(jessica)was there too. earlier that day i went along with fellow friend DAVID NAHMOD to the passions studio to interview many cast members including josh for SCARY MONSTERS magazine. while there, jade harlow revealed to us that she is a huge fan of the horror genre. we told her to go to the vista theatre celebration that evening and she did! anyway, while talking to her outside the theatre the subject of josh came up and she revealed his condition and claimed that people with this condition do not usually make it to the age of 30!

How sad.  I'm not a consistent viewer of Passions, but he was always a treat to watch on the show, and every eulogy has emphasized what a great guy he was -- always positive and upbeat, despite his health problems.

Cheers,

Linda
