As to other television relationships that mirror b & J--There is the obvious Mulder and Scully relationship. . .with the red hair, sensible shoes, suits and flawless lipstick to boot! And the 'til the end ambiguity. . .sheesh they have a child together but have they ever SLEPT together?? [confused5]

When you consider their tendency for bickering and theatrics, and the deep affection they have for one another, Barnabas and Julia aren't all that different from Sonny and Cher.

And wouldn't that have been a great way for DC to keep the series going? Having finally rid Collinwood of every malevolent spirit, Barnabas and Julia decide to put together a nightclub act, which debuts at the Blue Whale to rave reviews.  Naturally, their success would unleash the vengeful spirit of a forgotten vaudevillian, forcing B and J to travel back to the 1920s and once again practice their own special brand of "career management."

Regards,

John
