Even though any future for
Moonlight looks bleak, at least it went out on top, placing first in its time period for the 4th straight week (it was down a tenth of a point from the previous week - but then so was
Ghost Whisperer ), and the ep was satisfying - potentially wrapping things up the way most viewers probably wanted to see Mick and Beth's relationship go (though I honestly think they should have never gotten together that quickly - but that's entirely moot at this point). (For me personally I loved seeing Claudia Black (of
Farscape and
Stargate SG-1). I hope her cleaner character wasn't intended to be a regular or recurring character should the show have been picked up for a second season because losing that possibility would be worse for me than losing
Moonlight itself.)
