Title: Editing profile problem
Post by: Luciaphile on August 27, 2003, 12:07:39 PM
Probably just me or I missed a critical post explaining this or something, but falling upon your mercy for a bit.

Tried to change a couple of things in my profile and got prompted to put in my password and to confirm, which I did, but it still keeps prompting me for my password.

What am I doing wrong?

For security reasons, any changes made to a member's profile require that they enter their current password in the box opposite "Current Password" in the "Required Information" section at the top of the profile page. From your explanation, it seems as if you might have entered your current password in the boxes opposite "Choose password" and "Verify password" down in the Preferences section? Those boxes are used to change a password. ;)

Thank you for me too.  I have tried to alter my profile, get rid of the old "Adam" type nonsense, but I was never able.  Will try again now when I have time. Thanks. Afan

I think Afan is referring to her current personal text ("Another body from Collinwood for me to autopsy!") and signature ("Where are they getting these bodies, Mulder, are they making them?"). ;)
