Mrs. Hopewell: "Hmmm...the egg salad looks good...but I haven't had tuna for a while...and then there's the pastrami..."
Vicki: "Oh Mrs. Hopewell, make a decision! It's almost 1:00 and I'm starving!"
-
Mrs Hopewelll: Well my son Ben is getting very friendly with our friends, the Robinsons, daughter Elaine ..
Vicki: What has that to do with my resume and references?
[Now Dom, MB and Midnite. . you get this reference i'm sure??]

Well, you were asking someone who has subscribed to Variety and who reads at least half a dozen entertainment magazines/Web sites a week. For me it was a given. ;) But I'm sure that if you hadn't drawn attention to the reference, there would easily be many people whose heads your caption would have gone over...

This is all the funnier if you are aware of a mid Sixties interview in which Grayson mentions having been approached by the director to play in the Graduate.
She didn't mention which role, but I'm sure you know which one *I* see her in.
"Do you want me to SEDUCE you?"

No way. .really??!! i think you told me this before but it boggles the mind. . Mike Nichols really thought about her in the movie. . .?

Mrs. Hopewell: See Vicki, it says right here in your horoscope that you will meet a tall dark haired man, but not this season. *
* [sorry I know that's not totally accurate but for the sake of the joke . . .]

Miss Hopewell: Vicky, the following families all need governesses, there's the Addams, I've met them, they're a little ooky, the Thorns, but I hear that little boy is a terror, and the Collins in Maine. They seem quite anxious.
Vicky: Maine sound nice.
-
::laughig:: a little ooky. That's awesome.
-
No, it clearly states it right here in your contract Alexandra. "Must wear ridiculously obvious hair extension"!
-
Vickie: yes, I've drawn caricature's of the entire family.. my favorite is of Roger with the baby booze bottle in his mouth!
-
Mrs. Hopewell: Red sleeveless dress...blue sleeveless dress...green sleeveless dress...yellow sleeveless dress...yes, Vicky, that's all you'll need for your new job in Maine.
-
::laughing:: a little ooky. That's awesome.
I think the quality of ookiness is highly underrated, but then I fantasized about growing up in the Addams house.
AM: "A soap opera, eh? I'd love a job on As the World Turns, or something!"
Dan Curtis, offscreen: "You've got the job, it's Dark Shadows, and we're already rolling!!"
-
Mrs. Hopewell: According to your horoscope your lucky numbers are 4, 42, and B.
-
Ms.H: A whole file of complaints from Mrs. Rockefeller, Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Vanderbilt, AND Princess Grace--- Vicki, you MUST stop accusing every rich woman you work for, of dropping you off on the orphanage doorstep!
-
VW: "I just didn't understand the part of the application where it asked which century I prefer to work in. I mean, what does that have to do with working as a governess?"

Literally Laughing and Coffin Out Loud :)
-
Mrs. Hopewell: "Look, if you don't take the job in Maine, you're going to have to take the one with the lovely lady who's bringing up three very lovely girls. At least in Maine, you won't have to cook."
