MB that's a riot....the stretch but I loved it.  I'm also taken by the idea of a remake of Peyton Place--I remember reading the book as a teen and thinking, my my this is very adult--I can still recall the skinny dipping scene between the Principle and the "widow".   The movie was melodramatic as the era demanded and i never saw the TV show, that was before my time.  But hey then so was DS--   A remake would be interesting.
