For the first time
Elementary was not the leader in its time period when it came to viewership and the 18-49 demo:
10 p.m:
ABC: "CMA Awards" (13.9 million, 8.8/14)
CBS: "Elementary" (10.5 million, 6.7/11)
NBC: "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (4.8 million 3.3/5)
18-49 leader: "CMA Awards" (4.0)
Though the
CMA Awards is a once a year special - and even despite it being on opposite
Elementary,
Elementary gained back 300,000 viewers over the previous week's Fast Overnights even though the
CMA Awards' viewership was more than twice what
Scandal's viewership normally is. Apparently
Elementary's viewership is loyal.
It'll be interesting to see if things still play out the same way when all the ratings are factored in. Though they probably will.
