'Elementary': Jonny Lee Miller cast as CBS' Sherlock Holmes (http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/02/elementary-jonny-lee-miller-cast-as-cbs-sherlock-holmes.html)
(Also mentions the DS film.)

I've seen him as Lord Byron, in which he did a decent job, and in one of the Lonesome Dove movies, where he seemed to be more of a pretty face. He was quite good in "Mansfield Park," and anything about Sherlock Holmes sounds fun. He's one of the few of the "new" cast of the DS movie that I'm actually looking forward to seeing.

I was very happy to see that JLM's pilot was picked up as a series for CBS because, trust me, he has a lot more to offer than was seen in the DS film. A lot more. (And one can only hope that the deleted scenes will show that. Though at the same time, if they do, it will be depressing that the scenes didn't make it into the film...)
Here are a few images that have been "leaked" to the Internet: First Images From CBS' "Elementary" (http://www.buzzfeed.com/raccoons/first-images-from-cbs-pilot-elementary-3n5o)
A female Watson should definitely bring a different dynamic to the relationship...

Brief excerpts from the pilot were shown on tonight's Entertainment Tonight.

Oh, I'm so happy for Jonny. I'm most familiar with him as a recurring guest star on Dexter- I think it was the year before last. He was a motivational speaker. The season was a sharp decline in quality from Dexter's best seasons, but he himself was great, and many were talking about the possibility of an Emmy nomination. It's great that he's getting a CBS series!

'Elementary': Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu retell Sherlock Holmes (http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/elementary-jonny-lee-miller-and-lucy-liu-retell-sherlock-holmes.html)
The video certainly makes it look like it has potential.

I just noticed that Jonny Lee Miller is on David Letterman tonight.

Very nice interview. If only JLM had been showcased more in the DS film. But alas. But at least he has Elementary coming up. And back on that note:

In the beginning I found it hard to hear, and he spoke fast, making very difficult to tell most of what he was saying. But, it seemed to get better as it went along. It was good enough for me to want to try it at least a couple more weeks.

I hope that Mr. Miller has more to do in the role of Sherlock Holmes than he had to do in the role of Roger Collins in the recent Tim Burton "Dark Shadows" film.
No slight intended to Mr. Miller, but I kept waiting for the cinematic Roger Collins to display a lot more of the "arch and aristocratic" Roger Collins (as KLS wrote in her first book) that the late, great Louis Edmonds was so superb in conveying as Mrs. Stoddard's spoiled, supercilious and entirely self-absorbed younger brother, but to no avail.
Well, at least Mr. Miller had a far meatier role in the "Dark Shadows" film than did that poor, silent actress, who portrayed the aging and fading Mrs. Johnson in the flick. (I wonder what the late, great Clarice Blackburn would have thought of Mrs. Johnson's "importance" and "significance" in the film?)

Wow, I had no idea this guy played Roger in Depp Shadows. Fantastic makeup job. From the trailer I was visually pleased with the casting. Hoping to see the movie next week.
