It isn't necessary to have seen individual eps to take part in the game - one simply has to know who the character(s) is(are) and to make sure the set up doesn't include knowledge that the character(s) couldn't have possessed at the time of the ep the capture is taken from unless the set up explains how they know it. In fact, some of the best set ups have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with what's actually going on in the capture, in the ep it came from, or even in the storyline the ep is a part of.
