Barnabas had never been fond of Stokes' eccentricities, but he became really perturbed when in the middle of an intense conversation about how they could yet again save the Collins family, Stokes suddenly decided to perform his infamous impression of a Maine bull moose.

Announcer:  Today on Dark Shadows, Professor Stokes demonstrates to Barnabas how Viagra truly works!
============
BTW, this is one of my all time FAVORITE scenes w/Stokes--he insults Barnabas' furniture w/a class only the Professor can muster!  ;)

Here's what Stokes actually said in this scene.  Cracks me UP every time!!   :D
==============
Stokes: It *is* Oliver Bennet, I knew it!  Greatest cabinet maker Marian Massachusetts ever produced.  Pity he was drunk when he made this!

Professor Stokes: Ah yes I see it.. Made in Nantucket.. Barnabas, did I ever tell you the cutest limerick I've heard about a lad from that place?

Barnabas, thinking: If I'd known that limerick was going to get passed around so much I wouldn't have thought it up.

Just chiming in to say that this is also one of my all time favorite scenes in DS.

Jean-Claude, you show once again why you are justly regarded as one of the most EEE-vil men of the 21st Century!

Antiques Roadshow is brought to you from the Ezra Braithwaite Civic Center in Collinsport ME. Highlights include a traveling afghan, a Charles Delaware Tate landscape, a box that may once have held a human head, and some scrimshaw. [/i]

Well, it's you're own fault professor - you know how rough Adam gets when you criticize his spelling.

 [pointing-up]  Um, Adam wasn't actually alive yet at this point in the story.  [wink2]

Some funny ones above ^_^

----
Stokes:  This end up.  That's a highly amusing thing to write at the bottom of the table.

(So.... what exactly was written under the table?)

Sorry  . . .
Punctuation might help.

Stokes (Reading):  “This end up.”  . . .  That's a highly amusing thing to write at the bottom of the table.    You know I met a girl a “This end up.” tattoo that was also amusing.
