Current Talk '02 II / Re: No DS for 3 weeks???!!!

This three-week pre-emption is truly insulting to the DS audience and just plain ridiculous in general--especially considering that all they've given us are 10-year-old Alien Nation reruns--which nobody watched much the first time around--and Mulder-less X-Files.

Good work, Sci-Fi...

Speaking of Anya, I was disappointed we didn't get to learn more last week about her fear of bunnies. :(

That made me so mad! Especially after all the hype...
Even sadder is the fact that even if there's an 8th season, Emma Caulfield is reportedly leaving at the end of the year.

:(

Current Talk '02 II / Re: Magda and Jenny--uhh when?

Yeah, but that always seems to be the case in these long, historical storylines.

Okay, so Barnabas goes back in time to save David by finding out the deal on Quentin.

Fine.

After that, everything seems peripheral--Laura, Trask, Rachel, the flap over the will--none of that will really help Barnabas save David, will it?

Not that it's not fun, mind you...

I have to admit: Don Briscoe became a little less wooden as time went on...but what's up with his 1897 hair?

Donny boy: pick a style and go with it!

Carl and Barnabas make an absolutely fabulous couple!

Such chemistry... :D

I don't know who got the short end of that stick: Barnabas or Magda!

Glad to be of service, scout!  While I realize Robservations can't ever substitute for watching an episode, I hope they're detailed enough so you know exactly what happened!

That they are, Robin. And thanks again.

I feel like I was never out of the loop! :)

Sorry about your wreck, Gianni!

Get well soon!

I went to watch Friday's tape and shrieked like Carl Collins when I discovered that the cable was out and I had nothing but an hour's worth of noisy snow!

Thanks for being here, Robin--your recaps are a great way of catching up on stuff we missed!

Whew!

Well done!

Indepth and informative.

Although I'm trying hard right now to picture Miss Maggie with tattoos!

I think it shows what brilliant actors both Barrett and Lacy are that they were able to remain completely in character throughout each role and build a different, believable chemistry in the new storyline.

Very much so.

Both Nancy Barrett and Jerry Lacey are terribly underrated...

You're such a bad girl, Connie...but I guess if you had a nickel for every time you heard that, you'd be playing the slots right this minute!

Many people have told me I have a Minnesota accent, yet I have oddly never even been to Minnesota.

Maybe you've seen Fargo one too many times...

;D

I always felt there was a strong sexual undertone to what happened between Rachel and Trask, perhaps some sexual abuse--but definitely mental abuse and blackmail. I wouldn't put it past him.
The implication seems fairly clear--at least to me.

Jerry Lacy puts in a bravado performance
Does he ever!

Is this guy one of the most underrated DS players ever or what?

Also, Lacy has great chemistry with Nancy Barrett. I missed her. Glad to see her back.

Only icky thing is: once they were romantically involved, now they're father and daughter!

LOL!
