Dear Scout75,
That blue dress with the red stripes that Vicky wore to the hospital reminds me of one of the dresses that Dame Diana Rigg wore when she appeared as Mrs. Emma Peel on "The Avengers" with the great Patrick MacNee.

It's very much an Emma Peel dress!

I wonder if Vicky ever wore a "hot-looking" leather outfit like Emma Peel did while kung fu-ing bad guys along with the always sartorially splendid John Steed?

And here I was thinking I was the only one who liked Mrs. Peel's "catsuits".  ;D

How cool was her take when Nicholas Blair introduced himself as Cassandra's brother?

Who plays equal parts horror and confusion better than Grayson Hall?

B&J's chitchat today at the front door. . I was under the distinct impression that Frid could not remember  word one of his lines and Hall just tried to salvage the moment and took over. . .

Me, too.

It just seemed like Hall instinctively started combining his lines with hers until Frid (sort of) caught up.

It seems odd that both Joan and Lara would have been outfitted in such similar wardrobes. . .

And during the hospital scenes this week, it seems like Victoria's and Maggie's outfits were the same patterns and materials, only inverted...

Lime was a huge color back in the day!  All the chicks are dressed like they're in Austin Powers In The House Of Dark Shadows!

"That's not Elizabeth Stoddard! It's a man,  baby!!"

Well, Tim Burton would certainly be an obvious choice--he certainly could capture the vibe for the various timelines, but probably covered the 1795 era already in Sleepy Hollow.

In another forum a few days ago, my seemingly controversial choice for a new Barnabas would be Rupert Everett.  Kevin Spacey would likely be my Roger, Liv Tyler as Victoria, John Cusack as Jeff, etc...

Welcome!

If Colllinsport Hospital was anything like General Hospital in the same period, they were all either at the nurses station or in the cafeteria.

Or pitching woo in Steve Hardy's office.

More delectable scenery-chewing today from fab Jerry Lacey.

My favorite line: "The devil may have painted your hair but I still recognize you!"

I just love the fact that Adam can walk around undetected in the hospital.

Geez, the credits went on and on and on after today's first episode.  So much so, they had to start the theme again from the beginning.

Were they a little short in the story department that day?

Can you believe the itty bitty chisel and hammer he was using? No WONDER he didn't want to do it. Get the man a sledgehammer!

And it looked SO fake as he was a-chippin' away on the brick wall!

Current Talk '02 I / Re: Barnabas: good and evil

In the eps shown today, it's odd how matter-of-fact Julia is when she tells Willie how Barnabas walled up Rev. Trask.  Willie seemed horrified and rightfully so.

But that's part of the complexity of Barnabas; he killed Trask because the good reverend got Victoria convicted of witchcraft in a most unsavory manner--and Barnabas sought his own justice.

Even during Trask's mock trial, Barnabas could look at his victims--like Forbes, and say that he helped Naomi along to her suicide, and that Suki was in cahoots against Millicent.

I don't know if I have a point here, except perhaps that it is interesting to see a TV character do so many horrid things--unapologetically, mind you--but for so many of the right reasons.

I just wonder--after kidnapping Carolyn, killing deputies, falling off Widow's Hill and befriending Pete--when did Adam have time to get his fitted suit from Ohrbach's?!

"Adam sporty!"

I had to laugh when Julia said "Willie shut up and get to work!"

Well, somebody had to say it!  God, he was spazzing all over the place.  He needs to take some lessons from Prof. Stokes on keeping his head.  I think Adam said it best: "Willie bad!"

We typically like to pick apart the things that are wrong and it IS fun to do that. But today had me reflecting on how much is RIGHT with DS

Hear, hear!

Two very well done episode that prove you don't need Barnabas and Julia to have a show!

And what else is there to say about Thayer David--except that he absolutely rocks!

Prof. Stokes is the character I'd hang with any day of the week, because no matter how grim the situation might be, that man looks like he's having a grand ol' time.

And I'm glad that, despite the manhunt that's on for him, Adam had a chance to pick up a suit from Ohrbach's!

"Willie bad!"
