Apparently it must run in the family because Carolyn seems to be a clueless as Barnabas was when it comes to taking care of Adam...

Carolyn spends a great portion of her life being clueless... ;)

And hot, of course...

Joe:

Thanks for putting up those pix so quickly for those of us who couldn't attend (Can't wait 'til next year in NYC!!).

From the looks of things, despite the weirdness, it seems TLATKLS handled herself well.  Of course, I'm preaching to the choir, but she has always struck me as being beyond classy...

So what was the hubbub, bub? Any word on why KLS is "a liar"?

Same here!

I kept thinking, "Oh, God...somebody's found Barnabas and it's starting all over again!"

Hey, that's how they got rid of Angel for the summer, so why not?  ;)

I just couldn't believe how clueless Nicholas was in Friday's second episode, when he's talking to the raised spirit of everyone's favorite American Frankenstein, Dr. Eric Lang.

This is the exchange I would have like to have heard:

LANG'S GHOST: I died before I could finish my experiment...
NICHOLAS: Then who finished it?
LANG'S GHOST: Julia...
NICHOLAS: Hoffman?
LANG'S GHOST: No, Julia Roberts, you demonic moron. How many Julias are there in Collinsport?

...can't kill Harry, can't kiss Carolyn...

What the heck is a man-made man supposed to do to keep himself occupied all day?!

The other unlikely part here is David's inability to remember the message on the tape for Julia. He's heard it enough times by then to have it memorized regardless of whether he understood it or not.

Well, Julia said it herself in Friday's first episode: David's inability to recall the message is "maddening"...

Wow.

Nicely done no-so-gothic romance.  They do make a sweet couple, don't they...?[aprvg]

I think Willie Loomis & Squeeky Fromme would be an interesting match...you'd hear the dogs howling then, baby!

Funny!

But please--no stripteasin' Julia!

Unless, of course, you're passing out sedatives to all of us... ;)

That was before the days of cable, and they probably got lousy reception in Collinsport, don't you imagine?  ;)

Well, ABC was running this gothic soap opera every afternoon that David could've watched...  ;D

Btw: I dug how on Friday [or is that Frid-day? ;D], David was scooting around in a Jim Fowler safari outfit.

"The Contest" was very good. Nice Barnabas/Julia action.

It's not like that episode of Seinfeld, is it...?  ;D

And Thursday's Big Flub Award goes to....

[roll3] LARA PARKER [roll3]

After Cassandra puts Willie under her spell and questions him, she tells him to go back to Collinwood; trouble is that they're standing in front of Collinwood!

D'oh!

I admit that I thought Humbert was a little hammy last time I watched, but he is striking me as perfection now.

See, I also thought HAA was a big evil-glazed ham when he started, but I think he settled into it pretty well and found the character's voice pretty quickly.

I have her fine, thin hair and a couple of years ago, I had the exact same red, short hairstyle. (Didn't seem to go over real big with anyone but me)

Well, you should've passed out sedatives.  That would've kept everyone happy... ;)

...(w)hat's clear is that Nicholas views what he's doing like a job, a craft if you will and Cassandra uses it as a means to an end--sort of like a live to work vs work to live approach...

That makes a lot of sense.  After all, Nicholas has shown a certain kind of pride in what he does ("I don't drug drinks.") and seems to be annoyed that Cassandra is so personally involved with Barnabas, she spins "idiotic" ( ;D) plans like the Dream Curse. It's as though he feels she could make better use of her time.

They just don't make Evil like they used to...
