Yes, they are House Of Dark Shadows shirts that feature Lyndhurst but that kinda goes without saying.

There've been t-shirts with the image of Lyndhurst as Collinwood that aren't tied to the movie.  Here's one inspired by the 2004 Fest:

I have a Lyndhurst shirt that I bought at Lyndhurst but I've never seen a shirt with a picture of Lyndhurst and the word Collinwood above it. I'm not saying they don't have them but I've never seen it.

I can't recall seeing a DS shirt with "Collinwood" above any mansion, and if that's the case, I don't see this is a point of debate.

My confusion is with the "No" vote.  I just don't understand that logic at all.  If people are worried about the new version being too similar to the original, well, new viewers needn't know Seaview is the original house.  And it's been mentioned time after time that the audience for the movie is not the original viewers.  So.. why not use Seaview?

Other than the reasons already given?  All of which, however much you might disagree, seem quite valid.  There may very well be additional reasons on which members have based their no (or don't know) votes, but with the anonymity of the poll comes the voter's right to not give a reason.  And quite frankly, the climate of this topic may not be as inviting for expressing opinions as some might think.

And MirandaD, you've said that it's not your intent to be argumentative, but quite honestly, it's coming across that way, at least to the mods.  Your input has been appreciated, but with all due respect, could you please hold your thoughts until you have something new to add on this issue?

Have you seen this article and Tim Burton interview posted on September 2nd?

Oh it's not easy scooping jimbo on the subject.  He posted a link to the clip on Sept. 2 by way of the MTV Movies Blog (reply #1056).

Roland,

MB gave the reason in the WP schedule for those eps, and again in the main topic of Discuss - Ep #0817.

Bored now.

If Frid had to be flat on his back for an entire episode, at least he got to do it dressed in a really nice pin-striped 3-piece blue suit.

Petofi caused Jamison to be possessed by the spirit of someone who hadn't been born yet, projected phony images of Beth's death, and was able to control Quentin's senses from a room away, but he used his gut to (incorrectly) determine that Barnabas was lying?

And we know the hand can sever the connection between vampire and victim because we saw it release Charity from Barnabas' thrall, so why didn't Petofi just cure Beth instead of using the magic cupboard ( [rleyeb] ) and hoping she'd be rattled enough by what she had seen to choose to reject Barnabas?

Quentin who usually plays things close to the vest, spills the beans to Petofi that David knows him in the  future.

But Petofi noticed on his own that "David" was calling out for Quentin.

Greystone was Collinwood.

Petofi is certainly ruthless, as IluvBarnabas said, and also diabolical and arrogant, but he showed some good taste here.  After stating that Tim's assets were his wealth and Amanda, Petofi determined that Tim had nothing of interest to him. [tngb]

A boom mic shadow stalked most of Quentin's scenes.

Tim told Count Petofi and Aristede that all he wanted was to get revenge on Rev. Trask and Evan, but Count Petofi refused to help him.

For the time being, anyway.  Petofi said something about how times may change.

I wonder what Tim had planned for the hand. What was he going to do to get revenge? I guess we'll never know. [ghost_rolleyes]

Tim's desire to get back the hand seemed to be to satisfy his own greed, and perhaps that's the evil that the hand brought into his life; his greed and thirst for revenge would certainly explain the drastic changes in his personality.

Since when does an ordinary mortal have the power to "summon" a vampire as Quentin attempts to do here?

Good catch.  Maybe Quentin was just so desperate at that point that he'd try anything?
