Gee, and here I thought SMTP only stood for the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol that most people use to send their e-mail.  [b003]

Does this mean that POP3 has another meaning too?

On this recently-discovered episode of "Queer Eye for the PT 1841 Guy", the boys debate whether to re-cover the already garish sofa in zebra fun fur, or a hot pink paisley.

GABRIEL: Quentin, are we going to play rocks, papers, and scissors?
QUENTIN: Not if Morgan joined us.

Morgan and Quentin smile and nod as they listen to their brother Gabriel brag about his latest date at the Blue Whale...

Alas, poor Gabriel is without any type of love interest in this storyline.😢😢😢

No one, unless they introduced a character for Donna Wandrey, Terry Crawford or Virginia  Vestoff. I doubt that ABC Standards and Practices would have allowed even an implication that Gabriel and Tim Braithwaite might have been more than drinking buddies.

([pointing-up]  Given how careful they were about Jason and Willie's relationship and Barnabas and Willie's relationship, I'm sure you're right...)

Even today, that sort of relationship could still pose problems with the censors.

([pointing-up]  Probably - but at least things have progressed much further these days when it comes to gay relationships on soaps. I mean, DOOL has a gay triangle which was actually a quadrangle for a time.)

OLTL did a pretty good gay love story that seemed to be well received. Unfortunately, it was tied in to a companion story about a mayoral race which seemed to focus on that issue and nothing else. No doubt that the show meant well but it may have been too much for the traditional soap audience. Whatever the reason, the characters stopped appearing on screen. They weren't written off. They were still mentioned from time to time. The show was gone altogether not that long afterward.

([pointing-up]  I wasn't watching OLTL to live then, but I remember reading in the soap press online that supposedly OLTL got a lot of negative mail for that storyline...)

Well, to my thinking, it was an updated version of the Carla Benari/Clara Gray story. Characters deny their true nature, ensure lots of angst because of it, eventually embracing their true nature and living as happily ever after as soaps allow.

Quentin hits Gabriel’s arm which swings around and bops Quentin’s head in the direct to pirate 8mm Dark Shadows of the Stooges.
