When you said that the extra smileys were unavailable, I assumed that meant the listing of the additional ones.  However, I tried using a few that I know and they didn't work, so apparently you meant that the actual smileys are unavailable.

Question about size - on the old system, if one clicked on "size" it came up [2] and for a birthday greeting I'd usually change it to 4 or 5.  So, I was rather shocked when I saw 10 tonight.  Since I've mentioned having to increase the size for viewing the pages, I thought it might be connected to that.  Then, I realized it's 10 point.  I suppose that's a more realistic and familiar way of doing it, but, especially since I've adjusted my view, I wasn't sure what a larger number would do, and thought I better be a bit conservative with it!

Do you know an approximate relationship between our new points and the old 2, 3, 4, 5?

Turner Classic Movies has Night of the Iguana on tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern.

I've never had a chance to see it, so hopefully it will work out this time.

I sometimes use "back" and sometimes use "go" - I've mostly been using "back" and it seemed I had to slide it down all the time, but trying it now, it seems that "back" does return to the same place in the list, but "go" takes one back to the top of the page.

Just a suggestion - on the WordPerfect forum I use, they make a big deal about the fact that robots often get e-mail addresses from websites, increasing the spam one receives.

They suggest disguising the address, for example:  nardoz at earthlink dot net

instead of writing it the normal way - we understand it, but the bots don't.

P.S. - Welcome back, Julianka!  :)

There, there, dear.  Please rest assured that MB is considering a rearrangement of that page and the way those child boards display.  :-*

Oh, good!  I was going to request that.  When I look at a "new" item and then go back to the listings for the next one, I keep having to slide way down to find any of the "new" ones, and with all of the other boards listed first, it's really a nuisance!

Using Netscape 7.1, the previous version of the Forum was a bit small and I'd do Ctrl + to make it larger.  With this new version, it's very small and I have to do that twice.  Then, some of the headings are too big!  But, that's better than the main text being too small.

The text in this box right now is very big.

Current Talk '24 I / Re: WB ORDERS FILMING OF NEW DS PILOT
« on: June 01, 2004, 08:11:35 AM »
Our paper had an article today entitled "Networks dump high-profile pilots" and mentioned in general that lots of reasons cause pilots to be scrapped and that there were 120 of them.  They then have a little blurb about several prominent ones.  As to DS, it says:

"Dark Shadows (WB, drama):  Maybe The WB didn't want to put another vampire show on the air right after canceling "Angel."  Or maybe it was too expensive.  Whatever the reason, it's a bit of a surprise that this show, produced by "ER" maven John Wells and starring Martin Donovan, Marley Shelton and Blair Brown, didn't make the schedule."

However, since we know that they were presumably behind the show from the start, and they certainly knew they were canceling "Angel," that theory doesn't hold up.

But as I also said, the best thing to do is to read over your posts very carefully before posting them.  ;)

I always do, but I'm amazed, somehow things will still sometimes end up wrong when I re-read the actual post!! :)

Is there any chance that the 90 seconds for edits could be extended to 2 - 3 minutes?  I always check my posts immediately, and occasionally come up with a bad typo or grammatical error and correct it immediately.  But, depending on the size of the post, it might be more than 90 seconds!

That's amazing that one of the tribes is Pennacook and the show ends up with an actor named Pennock.

Has anyone ever heard of "The House" before?  That really sounds intriguing.  I always thought DS was a completely original idea thought up by Dan Curtis and fleshed out by Art Wallace.
