Amy is a disquietingly good liar. On previous watchings, I've always liked her, but on this go-round I'm less thrilled with her. Of course, the one I should be turning against is David - but he's too interesting for that. What does he know about what's going on? He was upset when his father fell down the stairs, but now he seems to know that something more is going to happen to Carolyn than just a bad fright.
Once again Chris is unprepared for the full moon. He did sort of make a plan - "I'll just go away somewhere for a few days" - but he didn't do so until the last minute. Judging from the opening voiceover, in which he was referred to as a "guest", he's not paying rent on the cottage. It looks as though he's about to tear it apart, which seems like gross ingratitude.
It's strange to see Maggie Evans, erstwhile coffeeshop waitress, touting the virtues of proper speech to David Collins.
