A belated "thanks" to you all for the birthday wishes.  I spent the day after my birthday having cataract surgery on my left eye--it went well and I anticipate great improvement in my vision!  Doing the right eye next Thursday, and my doctor expects it to go equally as well!  Brian

Good luck with the cataract surgery! I had both eyes done a few years ago and it improved my vision tremendously. I have 20/20 vision now, which I don't think I ever had before.

Thanks to all for the good wishes.  The right eye surgery went very well, too, and now I can see things with my distance vision without glasses or contacts for the first time in 47 years!  As for the surgeries--if I had to do it again, I would.  I would rather have cataract surgery than get a tooth crowned! [snow_grin]
