Title: OT - Drawings of Mine
Post by: MagnusTrask on February 20, 2006, 05:29:57 AM: No DS yet, but I hope to do one or two. Can't guarantee much because of my eye thing. But I've gotten a handful of Dr Who etc. drawings done over the last few years, and for the first time they're someplace where people can see them. I'd appreciate it if people could take a brief look.

I hope you do draw some Dark Shadows characters soon. Zoe is wonderful; she looks a bit like Kate Beckinsale. I'm not sure if I spelled Kate's last name right, but I know you will know who I mean. I also really like the Revolver album cover take off, very imaginative. The Romana portraits are very lovely. And Sarah Jane Smith is fantastic. She is one of my favorite of the doctor's companions.

You are very talented.

Is everyone here able to take the sideways ones and make them horizontal on their own monitors?

arashi... will do that. I'm sure if the name "Deviant art" is an incentive or disincentive for me.

Again though, I'd like to call out for info. on good sources of DS photos to use for drawings, including DVD captures, since I dislike "posed" shots where he/she just sits there smiling at the camera. Marie Wallace is first priority, then Lara, then Barnabas distant third I guess.

I confess that I hadn't seen an ep of Dr. Who before last nite's broadcast of the updated version (this newbie is very grateful that the eps provided an introduction to the characters and the series), but nevertheless I enjoyed seeing your artwork. You're obviously very talented, and my favorite is the same drawing that you said satisfied you the most.

(Really loved the "Regenerator" album cover - it's great when big fans of cult TV shows know how to have a sense of humor about their own passion. :) )
