   Excellent!!      And David sort of even looks like David Hemmings in the capture.

(And I've wanted to see Blow Up for decades but have yet to get to it.)

I saw it once on broadcast tv which I'm sure was a severely edited version.

(  Yeah, I seriously doubt broadcast TV does justice to it.)

At least they didn't insert new unrelated scenes to "clarify" the storyline. The broadcast version of Secret Ceremony has scenes with two characters who did appear in the theatrical version. They are representing the Elizabeth Taylor character and reclassify her as a wig saleslady; in the theatrical version, the character was a prostitute.

(  Wow, I had no idea that had been done to Secret Ceremony! Talk about completely ruining the original intent of the film!!)

It's not as uncommon as you might think. When NBC was going to air the movie Earthquake, there wasn't enough footage to stretch it out over two nights. So an entirely new subplot featuring Debralee Scott was commissioned.

(  Really, I don't ever remember hearing about that. But then, when I saw Earthquake in the theater I was less than impressed with it, so I didn't watch it again when it was on TV...)

I had not seen Earthquake in the theatre, so I tuned in. I was pleasantly surprised to see Debralee in it. And her character was actually the focus of the cliffhanger of part one.

(  Well, spotlighting the new stuff is certainly a way to try to lure people to come back for Part 2. And I suspect her new subplot could have only improved the film...)
