E-Card Holiday Virus Packs Ugly Punch
« on: December 18, 2004, 09:31:50 PM »
(I've already received at least three of these this month - though in my case the laugh is on the people sending them because I don't use Windows.  ;))

That e-card bringing Christmas cheer is nothing but a nasty mass-mailing worm that could turn your PC into a zombie machine, anti-virus experts warn. Read more about this decidedly unjolly arrival.

i shant open holiday e-mails from anyone i don't know.

Unfortunately, like many viruses/email worms, this one sends itself to email addresses found in files on the infected computer.  So even if you receive an attachment from someone that you DO know, if you're not expecting it don't open it.
