OT: The Doctors
« on: August 29, 2014, 10:12:14 PM »
The appropriately named Retro TV will be showing episodes of the vintage soap The Doctors beginning September 29th. DS cast members that appeared on the show include James Storm, Nancy Barrett and Virginia Vestoff. Other cast members include Julia Duffy, Alec Baldwin, Armand Assante, Gil Gerard and Kathleen Turner.

The show will start with episodes from 1967, when the show first went to color. Retro TV is open to airing other vintage soaps, if this proves successful. Perhaps even DS.

Thanks for the heads up. Even apart from the DS stars who were on The Doctors, there are other actors on it whose work I came to really enjoy on other soaps (like Elizabeth Hubbard on As The World Turn), so it would be great to be able to see their earlier work.  [ghost_smiley]

It doesn't appear that they have a station in the immediate vicinity of NYC, but they do have stations in NY, CT, and PA. I guess it all depends if those stations are carried or accessible in NYC.

It's going to take them awhile to get there but I do look forward to seeing Elizabeth Hubbard's Althea fighting with her bad seed daughter Penny, played by Julia Duffy.
