(Sarcastically) Hey, while we're at it, why don't we start a whole thread about my wang.   Sheeesh.   But come to think of it..... naaah.

When someone makes that sort of humorous reference, well, it's fair game for others to run with - especially in a similarly humorous manner.  [hall2_grin]

Oh, did I forget once again to do: "j/k"?    Sorry to put you to the trouble of devoting two long paragraphs to that.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

This thread speaks to me, in some indefinable way.

Egad PD.  I can't believe you did this.  You cheered me up a bit, which is hard to do.     This is just plain nuts.

Can't you tell yet when I'm pulling your, uh, leg and joking with you? (I tried to cram as many winking/smiling/laughing smileys in all that as possible.  [hall2_wink]). And when it comes to joking, I'll write paragraph after paragraph if I'm inspired - and you definitely inspire me to joke with you. I mean, I'm STILL laughing over one of my favorite captioins of yours on the Captions This! board:

Carolyn:   "Oh mother, I know you've disapproved of some of my relationships in the past, but for once, trust me!    This chain-link fence and I are going to be very, very happy together!"

OMG, that's so absurd, it's hysterical!  [stfl]

What I meant by my statement was that he and Julianka were both on for a short period of time. A week's worth of episodes isn't that long compared to some of the other characters that were short-lived.

I hear ya man, my Buzz was only in FOUR episodes, but MAN, what a four ep arc that was!   [hall2_wink]
Buzz-isms:

"I like the bike I got, & the chick I got!"
"I know just the place!?Over in Logansport!"
"If ya feel it, SIT it!"
"Come on, before he offers me a side car too!"
"Her nose needed some powder!"
"You askin' me to give up something I like?"

Really?   Sure as hell made an impression, out of proportion to his brief screen time, didn't he?

Seriously, I want to know why the entire board isn't having heated discussions about my wang.  I'm beginning to take this personally.   So is Miniature Magnus.   He's been so sad and droopy lately.

true buzz's episodes might have been few in number but the impact of the "rebel without a clue" storyline should not be minimized.

if nothing else it introduced us to "drunk carolyn"...perhaps the most ridiculous character ever! [hall2_rolleyes]

I would LOVE to have Michael Hadge visit and share his memories with us  I know he was scheduled to attend some years back but couldn't make it.

Buzz, have you ever seen Hadge's all-too-brief cameo as a philosophical coffeehouse waiter in Mister Buddwing(1966)?  The same movie also includes a fun cameo by Nichelle Nichols.

I wish my memory weren't so tattered.  I'm delighted with the snapshot of "Mrs Purdy" in today's slideshow and trying to recall the name of the wonderful actress who portrayed her.  She also had a brief role during Leviathan and, of course, appeared as Mrs Pettione in hoDS.

...I finished it off with Wanda Paisley's memorable I Ching encounter.  I really, REALLY wish Wanda Paisley had become a semi-regular.  I think she would have made a much more interesting "girlfriend" for Quentin than that drip, Amanda Harris.  Men like Quentofi, in the 1890s, tended to have more than one woman in their life anyway; there was the respectable lady friend and then the girl who was around to take care of their, uh, manly needs.
Speaking of Wanda Paisley and Quentin's uh, manly needs, when I recently went through 1897 again, I couldn't help but notice Oh Wicked Wanda's resemblance to Marilyn Chambers, particularly her mouth. >:D

Sophie Baker.
Because in 1975, I had a fling with a struggling New York actor whose name I can no longer remember.
He was a movie theatre usher in between gigs.

His roommate, who I got to know, was KC Townsend, who played Sophie!
About 10 years later I hooked KC up with our own Joe Integlia, who provided her with a tape of her 1897 episode.
That was my last contact with her.

I'm sad to report that I later found out that KC died in 1989, RIP.
