Westminster Dog Show at Lyndhurst
« on: June 11, 2021, 12:37:33 PM »
For those who might be curious, The Westminster Dog Show will be held this Saturday outdoors at Lyndhurst Mansion. It will be televised pretty much all day on various Fox channels. The Best of Breeds will be on FS-2 at 1pm, the Agility Competition will be on Fox at 5pm, and the actual competition will begin with the pre show starting at 7:30pm on FS-1. Pretty cool!

There will also be more coverage.. The rest of Best of Breeds will be on Sunday at 1:30 pm on FS -1 and the rest of Best in Groups and the Best in Show will be on Fox starting at 7pm. They also have live streaming on now at https://westminsterkennelclub.org. I saw they had small dogs running an obstacle course inside a tent on the Lyndhurst lawn.

My first thought were dogs that howled whenever Barnabas was pissed or in the vicinity.  [easter_grin]

[pointing-up]  It's interesting that the daytime show used the sounds of dogs howling extensively whenever vampire characters were around/plotting, but unless I'm mistaken the sound was only used leading up to Daphne's attack in hoDS. I don't think we ever heard them when Carolyn was about...

And thanks for the heads up, patrick...

Now if they'd wanted to tie things into films that have been shot there, they could have stuck Angelique's skeleton back and hanging in the tree outside the window. But alas, no...

Can that mysterious glow nearing the greenhouse be Angelique out for a stroll?

After all, we know she liked to stroll out around the greenhouse.  [easter_cheesy]

And all of this is only halfway through yesterday's broadcast. There is more to come. And it should be interesting to see if tonight's broadcast recycles the same footage or if there will be anything new...

I was pleasantly surprised how much time was spent discussing Lyndhurst, the Gould family and Sleepy Hollow. Plus all the various cut aways before commercials of the grounds. I saw quick shots of the greenhouse and rose cottage.  It was cool seeing the dogs getting judged and hauling ass on their obstacle course  knowing we've walked those grounds many times. Also, I believe this was the first time I had seen Lyndhurst lit up after dark. It looked stunning!  Great captures MB.
