David Selby's latest novel, A Casualty of Indifference, is available now on Kindle (https://amzn.to/2L1co3z). It will be out in print next month.
As no doubt many of you are aware, the opioid crisis that is affecting the country has been particularly devastating in Appalachia. This is reflected in David's most recent film release, Back Fork, and in A Casualty of Indifference. Last week, over thirty doctors were arrested (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-crime-opioids/dozens-of-doctors-in-appalachia-charged-in-opioid-fraud-bust-idUSKCN1RT2B7) in a Justice Department operation targeting Appalachia and charged with, among other things, prescribing drugs in exchange for cash and sexual favors.
