First off, thank you, Patti. I bet someone $20 that you would be the cousin to start a topic about the storm and, well, you came through for me! 

Second, snow is good. Don't you remember that thrill that went through your entire body when, as a child, you'd see those snow florries coming down only to turn into full fledged storms? You knew you were going to have fun. So, think back, wasn't that a wonderful feeling? Of course it was! And you can recapture that feeling whenever you see snow again.

Just keep repeating to yourself:: "snow is good. I like snow. No, I LOVE SNOW! And I *AM* going to have fun!!!!!" 


Oh, and BTW, just because we might be letting this one snowstorm topic slide, that doesn't mean we'll ever be this generous in the future.

I just dropped my sister off at the airport. She is flying into Syracuse, NY ( no delays they say) and then driving to Asbury Park, NJ with some friends to see Bruce Springsteen tonight. They have an SUV and apparently alot of faith which from the weather channel it sounds like they will need it.

Well the concert was tonight. It has been postponed. My sister left the Albany airport around 10 am and I just called her on her cell and it is almost 2:00. They just passed Albany. I gave her the bad news about the show being canceled but they are going to try and make it anyway as he is playing tomorrow also. If the snow continues as it appears to be the show tomorrow may as well be canceled too.

Therefore, 2 feet of snow is two times the fun of only one foot.

It's still alive and well on the calendar. But meteorological winter began December 1st.
