Anyway, I did want to ask ClaudeNorth (or anyone else who knows) if this movie is available anywhere on VHS; am itching to see it.  Unfortunately though, am one of those poor benighted souls who still doesn't have the latest digital techno thingie.   :P

Amazon has it on DVD but when I did a SEARCH, it came up in VHS at moviesunlimited.com  Hope this helps Cassandra B.

You can also find it at www.somethingweird.com

Current Talk '03 I / It's time for DVD #4!
« on: February 25, 2003, 03:37:05 AM »
For those of you who are also collecting the DS DVDs, I just got an e-mail from CDuniverse saying that my copy of #4 was shipped today.   I should have it in my hot little hands by the end of the week.  Yippee!  :D

Oh, come on, Bette. Age is just a state of mind. I'll be 54 this year so that means my birth year is 1949 (Wow! I'm an old bag!) and I'm going with my 20 year old daughter to see Bon Jovi on March 3rd.  She's could've gone with anyone of her friends but wanted the both of us to attend as a mother/daughter team. [/color]

Okay, Okay. Since you can do it, so can I, since I was also born in 1949 and am now 54. (Guess I'm an old bag, too!)

Enjoy Bon Jovi  :D

Actually, I downloaded an SE mod that will allow people to enter just the month and date without the year. ;) I'll post a notice once it's been installed...

That's great, MB. I'll be looking for that cuz there ain't no way that I'm revealing the year of my birth!  :-X

My profile keeps changing things without my knowledge. A few days ago I went into it and my language selection had been changed from English to Dutch :o

Just now I noticed that my avatar was gone. My profile had been changed to '' no pic".  It also lists a date for my birthday of Feb. 18, 2003.  Guess I'm really a newborn!

What in heck in goin' on here! Am I in some parallel band of time?  :-

Okay, with the board back up and running (and looking fantastic, by the way), here's another AOL-always-creating-problems question.  On AOL, the initial we're-back-on-line page appears, but when you click on the link to go to the bigger-and-better message board, you get the this-page-cannot-be-displayed thing (at least on my computer).  Fortunately, I've also got explorer, so I can once again enjoy the best message board on the internet.

I'm still running AOL 5.0 because of my ancient iMac and I can access  the Board with no problem.   ???

Wow, I really like the looks of this Board, but it takes some getting used to. This computer semi-literate person  :-   was just getting the hang of the old Board.

Great job, guys!   :D

My fave is the tale of the man who pronounced Yosemite, YO-se-might.

dom (who resides in the San Joaquin - pronounced, San-wah-KEEN - valley [I really messed up that one with - San-Joe-uh-KWIN]) ::)

Ah yes. Names I grew up with in Madera. My favorite Valley mispronunciations are Tulare (mispronounced as Tu-lar) and Visalia (mispronounced as Viz-alia.) Oh Dom, you really do take me back to my childhood DS years.

Happy Birthday, Annie, to a fellow Aquarian. I am sure that you will agree that all the BEST people were born in February. ;-)

It was such a surprise to log in this morning and find all of your birthday wishes. :D

Thank you all. Too bad my mom couldn't have waited one more day--then I could have shared my special day with David Selby! ;)

Happy Birthday, David!

I've had no problems with the Board from my computer at work.

I have an ongoing problem with my computer at home.  I haven't been online much in the last couple of days, but when I am on the Board from home, if I follow a link then try to go back to the Board I get the error message to update my address to www.dsboards.com, which, of course, is what I have already been using. When this happens the only way to get back to the Board is to wait a few hours and try again.

I have not however, had any problems with freezing.

It's nice to know that they're going to acknowledge a program that did well for them, but which they never gave due.  However, when you consider they're covering 50 years of programming in a three hour special, (less than 4 minutes per year?!) I wouldn't hope for much.  We're going to have to watch REALLY carefully to catch it!

And hope they don't edit it out all together because of time constraints. :(

Current Talk '03 I / Re: SCi-Fi out....again

Every morning, the alarm wakes me up, so that I can watch DS.  This morning, I get up, turn on the t.v. and go to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea.

I come back with my tea, and the t.v. is blank.  It says that it is on Sci-Fi and it also says the channel, but it is blank.

So I turn to other channels, and they're on, but not Sci-Fi.

Why does Sci-Fi do this to me?  Or is it the cable company?  Why, O Why?

[bnghd]

This has happened to me quite often since I got digital cable. It's not always the same channel. It happens across the board. I assume it is just the digital cable acting weird. It is very maddening though, especially if I have set my VCR timer to tape something and all I get is a blank tape. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sometimes if I go up a channel and then back to the original the picture comes in after a few seconds. Or turn the cable off and then on again.
