You are right MB that we really do not need to be reminded of what could have been. I hope I am wrong but it may take years before a network takes another look at a DS TV series. It may take that long in order to have that "damaged goods" label taken off the 2004 DS pilot and franchise. I do not believe a network will jump into a new development project in the near future until the perceived stench from the 2004 pilot has dissipated. According to the Fangoria interview, Dan Curtis would like to also take a shot at a new theatrical DS movie. You would think with all of the millions of dollars he has made from the DVD and VHS releases of DS and merchandising etc..., that D.C. would be willing to finance or at least partially finance a new DS movie if he really wants to make one. He may get a movie studio interested in a new DS movie if he would be willing to finance most of a movie. Of course I am thinking this off the top of my head without knowing how the movie industry really works.
