Much sooner than you might think - but that's all I'm willing to say for now.  ;)

Tease. . .

Sorry about that.  ;)  But my intent isn't really to tease. My vagueness will hopefully become understandable later on...

I hope y'all'd be so proud...since I didn't know from Mozilla, I went to cnet.

Read about it...uh...it doesn't appear to be a free download, plus it said it's not for sale in my area??

I wouldn't buy it because the MAIN thing I do on the net is HERE, so not yet.

But it also seemed kinda technical...like, what does 'skin' mean??

Nah, you can get Mozilla for free at http://www.mozilla.org/. "Skin" just refers its actual appearance on your screen. Many programs that have a visible interface, such as your browser, music player, or whatever, have numerous skin options. They're just graphic files that make the buttons, displays, etc. look different.

So, Mozilla is really a part of Netscape, which is now a part of AOL??
I HATE despise, detest AOL.

How close of an affiliation is it?

And..uh...also...uh...where do I download it to (like, what part of my PC, so I don't clash with anything else)?

Thanks :-*

I'm reading the FAQs on Mozilla...it doesn't sound like it's just for a novice like myself:

http://www.mozilla.org/docs/mozilla-faq.html
Maintained & may be used freely by Pat Gunn:
1.11) I'm wondering how to do XXX with Navigator 3.x...
The mozilla newsgroups are intended to be used by people who will be working with Mozilla, either in an organizational fashion, suggesting features, or coding. Visit Netscape's website for help on that software.

Uh....no, so should I just leave welll enough (that means MICROSOFT EXPLORER   >:(  ) alone?

Not close at all. Netscape and AOL have actually been split into separate divisions at Time Warner, and while Netscape is built on the Gecko rendering engine, Mozilla is built on the KHTML open-source rendering engine. Though they do have a similar look and feel, Netscape and Mozilla have always been separate entities. (KHTML is also the basis for the Linux's Galeon and Konqueror browsers and the Mac's Safari browser, and they've really had no relationship whatsoever to Netscape either.)

It doesn't really matter where you download the installation program on your hard drive (though your Windows Temp directory (most probably located at C:- WindowsTemp) would probably be best) because the program will take care of installing it correctly for you.  ;)

I'm not sure what you've been reading in the FAQs, but Mozilla is no harder to use than any other browser.

The thing is that Mozilla is an open-source browser, so people are free to suggest/develop their own features/modifications to it. But that's strictly for the people who write their own code. It has no relationship to an end user like yourself.  ;)
